    Here are
    Rare DATED 1769-1782 REVOLUTIONARY WAR PERIOD MANUSCRIPT LEDGER PAGES of a WRENTHAM, MASSACHUSETTS AREA DOCTOR FOR SERVICES AND MEDICINES PROVIDED FOR VARIOUS PERSONS. There are FIVE DISBOUND LEAVES, WHICH HAVE A TOTAL OF TEN PAGES OF ENTRIES.
    A rare early physicians account or ledger book fragment.
    The majority of the customers are from Wrentham, MA, but other patients are from Dedham, Walpole, Medway, Stoughton and Franklin, MA. The dates in manuscript range from 1769 to 1782 with the majority of dates in the Early-to-Mid 1770's. Some interesting entries on the pages:
    One June, 1771 entry for Nathaniel Sumner of Dedham reads
    "To visit & medicine for your Negr-"
    (see photo). Nathaniel Sumner represented Dedham in the Great and General Court of Massachusetts at the time. There are a handful of entries for "Bleeding" services (a practice at the time- George Washington is believed to have died from bloodletting). Also a number of "Phlebotomy" entries (drawing blood from a vein). There is one curious entry on one of the Paid sides of pages which reads
    "One ton of goose grease at 2 dollars per pound"
    .
    The ledger pages are numbered at the top. They are page #51,127,129,130 and 140 of ledger.
    The people referenced in ledger are (in order of their appearance):
    JONATHAN FELT of Dedham (1719-1786). Jonathan Felt was the son of Anne Walcott Felt who was the sister of Mary Walcott of Salem, one of the "afflicted" girls and witch accuser at the infamous Salem Witch Trials.
