    Description

    Offered here from my personal collection is a Medieval illuminated Latin antiphonary manuscript vellum leaf, late 15th / early 16th century. Having six lines written in Latin liturgical Gothic script from a "gradual" or choir book. Probably French or Italian in origin.
    Sight 20 1/2 x 13in; Frame 14 1/2 x 21 3/4in
    Inscribed in Latin "
    men, quicuque celbrat tu am sacrati ssini Rosa ri i solemnita te c Magnif Seculoru Ancta Mari a Virgin
    pii ssini, suscipe vota servulorum assidua
    " translates to "
    men, and to every one who celebrates the sacred Rose of the great Virgin Mary, receive the constant prayers of the servants
    "
