    Description

This is an antique handwritten journal/log book for the city of Quincy, Massachusetts, c. 1901 - 1917. It has 190 pages of writing with several blank pages at the end. It contains information/results on elections for various posts, voting on articles, etc., even a vote on whether "intoxication liquors" should be sold, details on the elections or meetings; ballots/ballot boxes are spoken of, etc. Various laws/procedures are written out. I'm not entirely certain as to who has written this; "attest", followed by the name of a city clerk can be seen throughout (different names over time). The book has burgundy leather on the spine and edges. There is gold gilt as well. There is a repair to the first and last pages. The book measures 10.5" x 8.25". Shipping price is for media mail.
